National funded Research

Education, as well as research and developement is the foundation for continuous innovation. The promotion of education, science and research by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) represents an important contribution to securing Germany's prosperity. In this context, research excellence is a must in a country whose prosperity is built on the innovative strength of its industry. The aim of Germany’s High-Tech Strategy is to make Germany a leader in providing scientific and technical solutions to the challenges in the fields of climate/energy, health/nutrition, mobility, security, and communication. Innovative technologies and services create new jobs, and thus every generation will have its chance to develop its potential. The Excellence Initiative and the Pact for Research and Innovation are injecting new life into the research community and promote young research talent.

Besides R&D, innovations and new technologies are changing the world with breathtaking speed. Yesterday's futuristic visions quickly become today's everyday normality, and then are just as quickly rendered obsolete by even newer developments. These ever more rapid processes of change make investment in research, innovation and skills indispensable for maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of our companies. Dynamic levels of innovation will ensure long-term growth, prosperity and new jobs. Therefore, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWI) supports German companies by working continuously to create a pro-innovation policy environment and by promoting market-oriented research, development and innovation projects.

GLOBIT has a long lasting track record in such BMBF-funded and BMWI-funded national research, development and innovation projects.
